Using mismatched tyres - safe?
I was running with a new set of Michelin Energy Saver+ tyres (done 3000 miles).
Unfortunately the sidewall ruptured on one of my tyres and the garage mentioned it was not repairable. Hence I had to replace it. Again unfortunate to not get the same tyre type and hence had to go in for a Primacy 3 tyre on the nearside rear tyre.
Is it safe to have different tyre models (Energy Saver + and Primacy 3) and tread patterns on the same axle though the specification is the same (205/55 R16 91V)?

Not ideal but not unsafe. Others have reported shortages of Energy Saver+.
