Looking to buy a 2001 BMW 330d - problems to watch out for?

I am looking to buy a BMW 330D but it has 229,000 miles on the clock. The car has had all the services done by BMW, the last was done at the end of 2012 with an oil change.

The car has MOT for a year and the only advisory was tyres. I tried the car and only found minor problems, like direction tracking.

No black smoke form the exhaust, the oil was OK and temperature gauge was normal. The gearbox was fin and brakes were fine.

Is there anything else I should look for?
Is it a risk buying this model with such high mileage?

Get rid of the swirl flaps in the inlet manifold. Otherwise, no DPF to worry about. And presumably the price you paid reflects the mileage.
