I was rear ended on a roundabout
Recently I was rear ended whilst pulling onto a roundabout.
I was in the queue at front, started to pull out then realised a car from the right was going much faster than first aticipated. I applied my breaks so as not to pull into its path and not force it to slow down. A fraction after I did this the car behind me hit me and pushed me forward a little.
I have no independent witnesses and no cctv. I reported the claim to my insurance on the day and thought it would be simple. I am now informed that the third party are claiming in reversed into them. I'm worried how this will go. I cannot afford my no claims going from a 50/50 settlement.

Tell the third party that if he persists in this lie you will take the matter to court where if he continues to lie he will commit perjury and could be sentenced to 9 months in prison.
