Will fitting a towbar invalidate my warranty?
I have recently bought a new Ford Kuga and want to get a towbar fitted by an independent company. However, my local dealer has told me (in writing) that this will invalidate my warranty and the work should only be carried out by an authorised dealer.
Is this correct? How can the entire car warranty be void because of a towbar?

Because it can interfere with the rest of the car, particularly the wiring and the rust proofing.
