Sent a French speeding ticket for an offence which I did not commit. How should I respond ?
I hired a car from Hertz in Nice, France for five days in May. However, I have just received a speeding fine from the French authorities for driving at a different location later in July. How Can this be? I was at home in the UK at the time and find it unfair that they want me to pay 68 euros upfront!

I'd guess that Hertz mixed your speeding ticket up with someone else's. Write back suggesting this and telling them you were not even in France at the time.
