High Mileage Audi 2.0 TDI
Hi there, I'm looking at buying a new car and have seen a 59 Plate Audi A4 2.0 TDI S Line. It's a beautiful car with immaculate body work and besides a small mark on the inside of the drivers door it's also immaculate inside. The car has documented FASH which checks out after phoning the Audi dealer who has maintained the car.
The only concern I have is that it has 97k on the clock and I would want to run the car for 5 years at around 20k per year.
Do you believe this would be worth buying? It's up for £10,200
Cheers
Phil

I think it could very well become high maintenance. Check out the A4 B8 entry in www.honestjohn.co.uk for the sorts of things that are likely to go wrong. Crucial to know when the timing belt and waterpump were last replaced. I doubt the DPF and DMF have more than 30k miles left in them.
