Can I make an offer to the seller of a used car?
I've seen a vehicle advertised for £5000 and I believe it's worth more. What is the law relating to items or goods shown at a particular price for sale? Would I have any legal standing if I contacted the buyer with an offer of the asking price?

Be careful. Cars that are advertised for less than they're worth can be scams - the most common of which is Escrow Fraud. You can offer as much or as little for the car - it's up to the buyer to accept/decline your offer.
