DVLA won't refund my tax disc
I am in dispute with the DVLA over a tax disc refund. I recently traded in my old car for a new one, but retained the 11 month tax disc. However, the dealer sold and taxed my old car within days of the trade-in and the DVLA have said the old disc is no longer valid. Surely this cannot be correct? How can I get my £140 back?

You can only reclaim unused VED while you remain the registered keeper of the car.
