Flat battery on Volkswagen Polo - what's the cause?
I purchased a new Volkswagen Polo in 2010 and two years later the car failed to start on my drive and was taken by the dealer for tests. The car was returned after a week with no fault found.
One week ago the same thing happened again and the battery was found to be flat. What could be draining the battery? I always check that all doors and boot are closed properly and that the fan, lights and radio are switched off, but this seems to always happen overnight.

It's probably the self dimmer for the interior light remaining open circuit even after the light has gone out. Try switching it off altogether.
