Car keeps stopping and refusing to start - what's the fault?

I’m having some problems with my Vauxhall Agila. Recently the EPS light came on then the engine cut out. The car would not restart, but eventually fired up after it was taken to a local garage. It was recommended to replace the crankshaft sensor, which I have had done, any other suggestions?

Probably separate issues. The EPS requires a power supply so won't work if there is no power supply. The engine requires the crankshaft sensor to be working correctly for the engine to work. if the sensor has been replaced then I'd suspect the connectors at either end or the cable.
