Why does my car smell of bad foodstuff?

I own a 2011 Honda Insight. It has had its first service end of November with 8000 miles on the clock. After it was serviced I used it for about a week and then went on holiday, and the car stood in my garage for over three weeks. I have discovered that it has a "rotten smell" in the car like bad foodstuff. There is none in the car. Your suggestion as to the cause would be greatly appreciated.
