Should I jump the waiting list and buy this Dacia Duster Access?
You may remember I wrote about the delay in getting a Dacia Duster Access that was re-ordered in August. Even until yesterday lunchtime there was no delivery date linking my order number to a vehicle in view. Then my supplying dealer, Lookers of Colchester, phoned to say they had an Access on their forecourt (RHD) that I could buy. After all the delays in manufacture and absence of feedback from Renault U.K. about supplying vehicles, should I regard this with suspicion (will it be full UK spec?) or do you think it is just good fortune that I find myself at the front of the queue? I wonder if it was a cancelled order or what would have been a showroom demonstrator. I have mentioned the comments from India about water leakage into the car and they seemed defensive and dismissive about the suggestion. Is there evidence that this is affecting a lot of early production line vehicles?

Good fortune. Probably a demonstrator. Grab it while you can. The word from India is that demand is huge there. If its 2WD, remember to buy a spare wheel (2WD Access models don’t come with one).
