Which economical small car for carrying a child?
I currently have a convertible Beetle, which I love, but find running it expensive and as I am expecting my first baby boot space is a must. So I'm looking for a used car for around £7000. My main criteria are five doors, economical for fuel, tax and insurance, as well as reasonable for any repairs. Any advice on what would suit my criteria best?

Buy the most upright car you can find for the sake of your back lifting the baby (which will become a child) in and out. Think MPV: C-Max, Renault Modus, Mitsubishi Colt, the taller the better.
