Why do French roads have no litter or potholes?
I have recently returned from a holiday in Brittany. I drove hundreds of miles on all types of roads and I didn't encounter a single pothole. Also, no roadside litter. How is it that the French can get it right and Britain can't?

Because our country was run for 13 years by an anti-car government that preferred to put humps in the road than to fix potholes and is now run by a government that inherited a huge debt from it and is trying to reduce that debt. The French government does not accept that France is broke.
