Should I get an early MoT?
I'm a little confused by the new MoT system, I normally drive a new car not needing an MoT, so I'll be going through this for the first time in a while!
I'm fairly confident that the car will fail, so I want to test about a month or so before deadline, to give me the chance to replace it or sell as a 'spares or repair'. If I do this does that immediately invalidate the remaining MOT?

Yes it does invalidate the MoT. So the answer is to get it pre-tested. You can find out what it's most likely to fail on here: good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/mot/vauxhall/ve...a
