Citroen C5 won't start

My Citroen C5 1.8 petrol will not start. I pulled up last night and it then refused to start. This is the first time I’ve had any issues with it, what’s the cause?

Probably immobiliser. Or if the lights are dim then the alternator has failed and the battery has run down.
