Typical DVLA timescale for cherished plate transfer
It has taken 11 weeks to transfer my car personal registration plate, it used to take an hour at the local DVLA office until it was closed. Is this typical of DVLA "service" nowadays or have I been unlucky? I remember it being said that when the local office closed an effective service would be provided from Swansea; clearly in Dundee we have been misled.

Yes, fairly standard for cherished transfers now. They are low priority compared to the million other documents the DVLA processes every week. Raises the question of the DVLA 'selling' cherished registrations, but failing to provide an adequate transfer service.
