Why does my MINI Countryman smell of diesel?

I have a 2011 MINI Countryman. A friend has been smelling diesel fumes when we were driving along for a while. It has just been checked by my local dealer and they have found a leak from the ejector. They say that this can cause you to feel unwell, which I have been. Have you heard of this problem before?

If the car is still under warranty then it's the responsibility of the dealer. May just be a loose injector. I've had that with new diesel cars in the past. May need a new washer. May need a new injector.
