Parking ticket at train station - should I pay?
I was issued with a parking ticket recently. I briefly I parked in a rail station car park. There were no marked spaces in either of the two car parks but here was a space by a kerb alongside another vehicle.
My car was not causing an obstruction and I paid the car park fee and placed the ticket in the windscreen.There was no sign to say it was no parking however the car park operator issued a ticket which I think is unreasonable.
The other issue is that I was unable to go looking for another parking place as it was imperative to catch the train as I was taking my wife to London for hospital treatment. My inclination is to pay them a nominal amount £10 instead of £50. Your guidance would be much appreciated

David Cameron's government gave the right to do this to you to the car park operators and a bunch of former clamping gangs in 2012. I repeatedly warned the public about this for a year before the Act was passed but no one aid any attention. You have no legal rights unless you can prove there was something wrong with the signage.
