Swirl flap failure on a recently purchased used car - what are my rights?

A month ago I bought an 56 plate 55,000 mile Chrysler 300 estate for £7000. The car went to limp home mode last week and the local garage diagnosed swirl flap motor failure but will not fix it.

I returned the car to the dealer for him to fix under warranty. He tells me the warranty company "may not cover it".

What are my rights, and what do you suggest is the best way of having the seller repair the car?

No replacement or loan car was offered, indeed when I asked the reply was a simple "No".

Your right is to demand that the dealer who sold you the car either fixes the problem or give you your money back. Simple and straightforward as that. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
