Can you recommend a comfortable motorway cruiser?

I have been driving a 2005 Volvo S80 D5 diesel since 2006 and have now clocked 210,000 miles, but am starting to have a few problems so it's time to change. My second car is a Porsche Cayman which I am very lucky to own and was a Christmas present with the wife's permission!

I have around £10,000 plus trade in of the Volvo and was looking for something comfortable, with plenty of toys and good economy as I do 25,000 miles per year. What do you recommend?

A Mondeo 2.0 or 2.2TDCI on sensible wheels and tyres. Probably not enough for a 320dED, even an E90. Not enough for the current model Mazda 6 Skyactiv D.
