Should I have aftermarket work done on my Fiesta ST?
I have purchased a new Fiesta ST from a Ford dealership. I ordered it with the style pack (grey painted alloys, red calipers and illuminated scuff plates), but there was a mistake with the order and the car arrived without this pack.
The dealer is offering to have the wheels powder coated by a third party and the calipers painted in the identical colours. I would be happy with this, but I am worried about how it could affect the resale value of the car if it is found to have aftermarket painted wheels/calipers. Also would I need to inform my insurance company I had altered the car?

You have to 'disclose' any 'modification' to your insurer, just as you would have had to disclose the 'style pack' if the car had come with it. But they do look better with black painted alloys,
