'Running in' a new Santa Fe
I am picking up a new Hyundai Santa Fe next week from Nice, France. I had planned to drive back up the Autoroute, via Paris, to the tunnel and back home to Dorset.
Looking at your previous advice on running in new cars you suggest changing the revs by 500 every fifteen minutes or so and not going for long drives at a relatively steady pace. Should I just keep changing between 4th, 5th and 6th for the first 600 miles/1000km or so, and then revving it up to 4000/4500 once a week or so?

Just don't sit at the same revs continuously. Either drop a gear or drop your speed to vary the engine speed every half an hour or so.
