How can I verify a car's mileage?
I want to buy a used Mercedes-Benz, but am worried about cars with hidden histories. Is there a way to check mileage has not been tampered with?

The total mileage should be recorded in the car's ECU, which is more difficult to tamper with. But that can only be checked via the OBDII port by someone with the correct software.
