I had to buy a very expensive tyre for my Porsche in Paris after a blowout - can I do anything about it?
I recently experienced a blowout and visited an Official Porsche Centre in Paris where a tyre was supplied and fitted, for which I was charged nearly £600. The full price of the same tyre fitted by an Official Porsche Centre in England is less than half the price. I feel the price charged in Paris is unreasonable and would appreciate your advice as to what I can do about this. I have already contacted Porsche GB who say there is nothing they can do, as the price is dictated by the suppliers. I have also contacted Continental Tyre company (the manufacturer) who are at least trying to help. Can you suggest anything else I can do?

Absolutely nothing. You were desperate. The Porsche Centre in Paris has high overheads and that was the price you had to pay.
