Suspension problems with Renault Modus

I have owned a Renault Modus from new since 2011 without any problems. The reason for buying it was down to its high driving position and comfortable, compliant suspension. However, this has now become VERY harsh and uncomfortable and rattles from rear over slightly rough tarmac surfaces.

Renault say there is nothing to fix or adjust. Is there a suspension 'expert' in my area who could perhaps help?

Failing this, can you suggest something similar with compliant suspension? I have £12,000 plus part exchange value but could go higher for the right car.

If you still want to swap, check out a KIA Venga, Hyundai ix20 or Ford B-Max, all on 15-inch wheels with deep profile tyres for the best ride comfort and bump absorption.
