Need a used car for 130 mile commute

I have a 130 mile per day commute and need to buy a used car. Any advice on what I should buy?

Depends on how much you can spend. Generally avoid diesels with diesel particulate filters and be aware that VAG diesels with timing belts (and any other diesels with timing belts) routinely cost £500 every four years or so for a new timing belt, tensioner and water pump. If you can find a 2007-2009 KIA cee'd 1.6CRDI, that's a good bet.
