Garage has bodged the repairs on my car - what can I do?

Our 2010 Peugeot 308 1.6 EGC Diesel had the usual "hesitation" issue whereby the injectors need removing and new seals replacing etc. The car had been dealer serviced to this point and I was quoted £200 from a local garage to fix it.

They had it in for almost two weeks as some injector clamps broke. When I got it back I covered 550 miles before the car overheated. They had it back and said the EGR had gone (had it for another week and half and charged £675). Another couple of hundred miles and same thing happened again. Towed away and said they would put it right at their cost no charge to us.

Sadly, they didn't do anything to the car and after a week I had it towed to a local Peugeot dealer, who found numerous missing bolts, EGR not fitted correctly and numerous other issues all attributable to this garage. They also found a massive leakage to sump via cylinders 2,3 and 4.

They garage now won't return my calls as it's still up on the ramps at the Peugeot dealer and they are quoting a new engine. What should I do?

All that is left is for you to sue this garage, once you know what the true financial damage is, starting with www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and progressing to the small claims track of the county court if necessary.
