Nissan Qashqai - which wheel size is best?
I have purchased a 2014 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 diesel with 5000 miles on the clock. However, I want to change the wheels and have been unable to find 19-inch winter tyres for this vehicle. What should I do?
As it is new to me I wish to make sure I run the vehicle on the right wheels and tyres. I shall do about 12000-15000 miles per year. The vehicle does not have a spare wheel either, will a spare fit in the well of the boot?

The most sensible wheel and tyre size for the Qashqai is 17-inch with 215/60 R17 tyres. It will go round corners a bit quicker on 19s, but you will feel bumps more, the tyres will wear out faster and they will be more expensive to replace.
The wheel well look as if it will take a full sized spare, but you'd have to chuck out all the junk in there that the car comes supplied with. The tyre repair kit is a waste of space. You'll also need to buy a jack and wheelbrace. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/nissan/nissan-qash.../
