What do you think the insurance company will pay out for my written-off Vauxhall Meriva?
Another driver has just written off my 2004 Vauxhall Meriva 1.6, 8v Energy, with 67,000 miles and an LPG conversion. I paid £5850 for the Meriva two years ago, and although the accident wasn't my fault I know the insurance company will try and only give me the book price - I don't know what that is at the moment, but do you have any suggestions as to how I can get them to pay the most money out? Obviously I will tell them about the LPG conversion, which would cost about £1500-2000 to have fitted. I

Unless the LPG conversion was declared to your insurer you have a very big problem. But anyway you won't get the market value of the car plus the cost of the conversion. You'll get the trade value of the car with the conversion, that won't be much more than ordinary market value of about £2500.
