Electrical problems with Renault Espace
Last week, I was driving home in my 2009 Renault Espace and decided to stop off at a shop. When I got back into the car, it would not start. There appeared to be a ticking noise from the engine when I pressed the start button.
The rest of the electrics seemed to be working fine. Whilst waiting for the RAC the dashboard starting saying things like 'electric parking brake fault'. When the tow truck arrived the dashboard wouldn't show any lights and the window would not close.
To the best of my knowledge there no water had got into the fuse box. Any ideas what might have caused this?

The ticking noise will be the relay opening because there isn't enough power in the battery to turn over the engine or because the starter motor and starter ring are jamming.
