Clutch problem with new Fiat Panda

I have a new Fiat Panda 1.2 Easy. Within two miles of collection, I found gear changes to be difficult, with the clutch bite getting nearer and nearer the floor and eventually, with pedal hard down to the floor, I was unable to disengage clutch. As a result, it stalled. The dealer is puzzled and claims no fault found. What could the problem be?

Reads like the clutch hydraulics have air in the system and the obvious thing to do in the circumstance is to drain the clutch hydraulics to purge the airlock.
