Winter tyre advice needed for Vauxhall Vectra owner

I have a Vauxhall Vectra diesal Estate 1.9 CDTi 16V (2008 model). It runs on 225 45 R18 95Y XL tyres and I want to purchase winter tyres and have seen online deals for wheels and tyres size 205 55 R16 91 H. The tyres are Wintertact Tyres and are remoulds with an 11 mm tread depth. Is it ok to change the wheel size and do you have any comment on the tyres mentioned?

Should be no problem switching to 16" wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres. The rolling circumference of the tyres will be close to the same as the 225/45 R18s. www.tyremen.co.uk can supply a high quality set of 4 16" alloys for £350. Ride quality of the car will improve.
