Do you have any tips for how to fit a rubber pad to the clutch pedal of my 2003 Vauxhall Astra?
I recently purchased an OEM rubber pad to replace the worn-out pad for my 2003 Vauxhall Astra's clutch pedal. However I'm having great difficulties trying to fix it to the pedal. The rubber pad is rather hard (unlike others such as Mazda's, which can easily be slotted in). I've tried soaking it in a bowl of hot water for five minutes to soften it, but still couldn't fully attach it to the pedal. At most, I could only fix the top half as I couldn't get the pedal to fully slot in the small and tight gap at the back of the rubber pad. Any tricks to this?

Maybe a hairdryer. But be careful not to get it too hot.
