Citroen C3 displaying wrong external temperature

The external temperature display on my 2002 Citroen C3 gives the wrong reading. Even in these cold temperatures it is reading that the outside temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. Any tips on how to correct it?

Replace the sensor. What you say gives the impression that it it too close to the engine and is reading engine compartment temperature rather than ambient temperature. These sensors are usually located under the front of the car away from the engine and radiator.
