Do personalised number plates affect the validity of insurance?
Do number plates with the wrong font or spacing or letters changed by screw position, eg C to E, and are therefore illegal, affect the insurance of the car? Is this something one should take note of in case of accident?

Yes. Insurers will do all they can to get out of a claim.
