Should I buy a used car without a V5C?
I am thinking of buying a used Ford Mondeo. I've found a nice car that looks great, but the dealer says the log book is with the DVLA because the owner had moved house just before he traded the car in. Is this likely? Can I find out if it is true from the DVLA?

It could be true, but you don't need this sort of hassle for an ordinary car so the safest thing to do is find another cone with clear title.
