What is the future for diesel 4x4 and crossovers?
In view of the current anti-diesel trends, are manufacturers of 4x4s and crossovers (other than the Japanese) expected to introduce more petrol engines in their model ranges any time soon? Or is Euro6 the final solution?

No sign of that happening en masse because the high average CO2 would subject the manufacturers to EU fines. They do make very few high power petrol versions, but not enough to adversely affect their average CO2.
