Did BMW build diesel engines for the Jaguar X-Type?
I have seen adverts indicating that the Jaguar X-Type is fitted with a BMW diesel engine. Is this correct? If so, which models would feature them?

These advertisements are incorrect. Jaguar X-Types never had BMW diesel engines. They had the same 2.0 litre and 2.2 litre diesel engines as the Ford Mondeo Mk III.
