Buying a Ford Fusion - anything we should know?

My friend has just been offered a 2007 Ford Fusion 1.6 automatic with 50,000 miles on the clock for £2800. Are these cars good? Is this a good price? Her last car was a Honda Jazz 1.4 automatic.

That's okay. Good price. Has a 100PS 1.6 engine and four-speed torque converter auto gearbox. Not wonderful to drive. Doesn't handle as well as a Fiesta. But is a useful, boxy, estate car shape with a level load deck. Will use more petrol than the Jazz. And needs a timing belt and waterpump change if that has not been done (costs about £300 + VAT). Small Ford running costs apart from fuel are generally low.
