Servicing a BMW

I have just swapped my BMW 320d for a later (2014) model. When I queried with the dealer the lack of a service record booklet he said that BMW now store the service records on computer to prevent owners having their car serviced by a non-franchised dealer. I had my last car serviced by BMW until it reached the polint where it was out of warranty and then went to an independent. How do I do this now if I no longer have a booklet to be stamped?

You simply keep the service receipts in a file. They are of far more value than a service book anyway because stamps in service books are so easily forged they are virtually meaningless.
