Hill start problem

I'm finding it difficult to do hill starts in my 2015 Ford Ka and am having to rev over 3000rpm and then slip clutch, otherwise the car feels as if it's about to stall. Please bear in mind I have over 30 years of driving experience, and do over 20k miles a year. Is this a known fault?

Yes it's a standard EU6 fault. There is a programming fix now available. If a Ford dealer doesn't have it, take the car to a FIAT dealer who will have it. And in future run the car on Shell V-Power Nitro Plus petrol that has a lot of benefits, but in the case of this engine helps it to develop more torque at low revs despite the throttle restricting EU6 programming.

Did Ford ever come up with a fix that you are aware of for the hill start issues on the Ford Ka with the Fiat engine?
