Transmission failure in Volkswagen Up
We own a Volkswagen Up manual which is 38 months old (just out of warranty) and has developed a clutch/gearbox problem. Does this seem premature? The car has covered 28000 miles.

Up, Mii and Citigo have always had variable quality drivetrains, some requiring replacement gearboxes after only a few months. If all that has failed is the clutch Volkswagen will probably say that is down to you. If the gearbox has failed they will probably be more sympathetic.
