Problems with a Jaguar X-Type

My Jaguar X-Type 2004 was jerking and wouldn't rev past 3000rpm and now it won't start. It even won't supply power to the spark plugs.

Sounds as though it has gone into limp mode, most likely because one of the many sensors has developed a fault. Would be best to get a diagnostic check carried out in the first instance as this should then show up a fault code ( ie P---- 4 numbers).This code can then be used to identify where the problem lies.
