My friend has a Vauxhall Zafira that appears to have two problems of concern. There is an intermittent rumbling from the engine bay when no clutch is pressed leading me to think it's the dual mass flywheel. It's the 2.0 diesel model with 112K on the clock. Now, if we left this, would the flywheel break causing thousands in damages? If it needed changing, do you have to change the clutch too, or does the flywheel suffice. I've heard of fitting a single flywheel but I've also seen that this can cause problems, what are your views?
Air con, it's never operated since the car was purchased (2011) and the car is 10 years old. Now, could we simply get our local garage to re-gas the system and hope it kicks in, or would you think it would be a waste of time and expensive? Especially as new parts might be required.
