Which convertible sports car for £3750?

I'm looking for a considered opinion regarding the best value soft top sports car with a meagre £3750 budget. I do a lot of home maintenance but can't do bodywork or rust repairs. In-depth research so far has covered the MR2, MG TF, MGB, Saab Convertible, MX-5, Golf Convertible and even an Audi A8 on LPG - if I ignore the soft top bit.

Mazda MX-5, though you can get fairly late (2004) MG TFs for that sort of money at auction, if you are prepared to take the risks and join the club.

A great sports car. Incredibly nimble. Responsive steering. Easy to live with day to day. Comparatively inexpensive to run. Roof is easy to fold down.
