Tyre valve failure
I had two new tyres fitted to my caravan in Feb 2014 (the invoice included new valves). Returning from France in July, the nearside tyre blew on the M20, fortunately without causing further damage or accident. When I had the tyre replace, the fitter pointed to the valve which had split across its base. He suggested I check the other tyre, on doing so, I found it split - it failed when I returned it to the original garage who fitted the tyres and they examined it. They replaced the valve, insisted that it was new when the tyre was fitted and returned it to the suppliers for comment. despite several reminders I have heard no more.
Could there be a legitimate explanation or should I claim from the garage for the expense resulting from the failure?

It is entirely routine to replace valves when tyres are replaced so I think they were replaced, but the valve stems developed a problem. Chase the tyre fitters up for an explanation. You are entitled to one.
