Can anyone advise of the format for trade plates?
Can anyone advise of the format for trade plates and how to find out who owns one? My daughter's car was hit by a a guy with trade plates and the police are saying they can't trace the vehicle - this guy caused £350 worth of damage and we have the cctv footage of the whole thing. Annoying as she was parked at work and he even got out to see what damage he had done and drove off!

There is no reason why you should not apply to the DVLA for the registered keeper of the trade licence. A still from the CCTV footage showing the damage occurring will strengthen your case. Here is the link to make your request: www.gov.uk/request-information-from-dvla
