The A3 1.4 TSI 150 ACT has a wonderful engine: smooth, with plenty of torque from low revs and economical. Mazda gives you a choice of a fairly flat 120PS 2.0 litre engine, or a decently powerful 163PS 2.0 engine. As a package, I prefer the Mazda 3 2.0 163PS to the A3 because I like the 'feel' of the car better, but I wouldn't get into an argument about it.
