Turbo failure on Combo Van
My 1300 cc Combo van (80,000 miles) has developed an intermittent problem whereby the turbo fails reducing the power, sometimes at low and other times at high speed. No warning light comes on. What is the likely cause of the problem and hat is the likely cost of ratifying it. Am I into an engine strip down or is it more easily repairable?

The extremely likely cause of the problems is that the oil feed pipe to the turbo bearings and the oil return pipe back to the engine are choked with carbon. Replace them both or your turbo won't last much longer.
